    (I'd say 'Brown Thornbill' because the undertail isn't white - but I'm usually wrong)

      Thanks yes it appears to be a Thornbill alright, but it's very similar to a number of them in my book. Perhaps when Stephen looks in he might be able to be more definate.

      The Tasmanian Thornbill has longer legs than the Brown Thornbill and the chest and face of the Tasmanian look a birt dirty compared to the Brown. The Tas chirp is a single one whereas the Brown is a few short ones one after the other. This is from memory some time back while doing some research on another species so others may know more about it.
