  • Splendid Blue Fairy Wrens

I don't get many good shots but I sure do love watching them.
They are nesting at the moment and the boys are at their peak gorgeousness.

Cropped out a few extra annoying sticks and background softened.

Photoshopped in a clear eye, otherwise as was taken. Perhaps my birds as art entry?

You can see where the annoying stick stops in this image. These youngsters were fighting for middle spot on the branch.

These three are cropped, otherwise SOOC,

Terrific series Jo. It's hard enough to get one of these little blighters in frame, let alone three, as you have done in #3. Lovely detail where it counts.

My indecision is final, I think.

Splendid indeed ! Excellent texture detail in the feathers and that blue is simply awesome . Gorgeous little bird I have never seen in real life. Third shot looks like they are have a ladies only chat with the furthest one doing the whispering

Great series Jo, the males have stunning colours and that last shot is awesome. Also like the family shots #1 and #3.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
