  • Eastern Yellow Robin at nest

I hesitated to post these as the quality really isn't there, but they might be of interest. These were taken at Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park (O'Reilly's).

I had stopped on the boardwalk to try to get a shot of a small bird when I noticed the Robin fly in to the nest. It's five or or six metres from the boardwalk which, on weekends, has people walking back and forth all day. This was quite early with very few people around. Very difficult lighting as it's just inside the rainforest, and combines patches of deep shade and bright sunlight. Both taken from the boardwalk. There was no sign of the bird when I went back later, so I hope it hasn't been disturbed by all the activity nearby, but most of the birds there are well accustomed to being around people.

I think they are lovely shots of this cute little bird and it's very neat looking nest.
