Thank you so much. It was a beautiful morning. I was surprised that he let me get so close. May be he was too cold to fly off...lol. The background is samphire which turns a beautiful pink in the winter.

You won't upset anyone Jessie, it's a little joke only.

Someone (that I won't name) threatened to ban me in jest, after I posted a couple of white faced heron shots. They were having a terrible time getting close to them in their local dam. They did get some nice pictures of peacocks.
My shots weren't as nice as your heron though.
I am sure they will be delighted to see what a good image of a heron really looks like.
