White faced Heron

Found this one on a little back-water off the Moruya River. I was hoping to get a pic of it actually doing something, but as I got closer it disappered behind a bush and when it emerged from the other side it appeared to have forgotten it had already seen me, got spooked and took off in a hurry. So, only one static pic

the reflection makes it nice anyhow, static or otherwise.
sometmies they just dont cooperate.

seems to be some noise or something going on in the water.

as I got closer it disappeared behind a bush - Yes, I can relate to that. At least you had something to show for your efforts. got spooked and took off in a hurry. Yes. I've been there too.

Thanks Stephen - yes it does look a bit noisy now you mention it - probably the reasonable crop with 800 ISO. I'll look into it.

Charles - ah yes, I remember - how is your battle of wits with the heron going?
