Looks like you had a busy day.
For me, the overlapping of the birds in the first is a bit of a problem. The second and third are nice shots. I like the way the Ibis stands out against the background and the spread of the wing feathers.

I like the Ibis the best in this series. Great shot of the bird in flight showing good definition of all the flight feathers.

agree about the first shot. the other bird in the background lets it down, which is a shame cos it would have been really nice with the solitary stilt

good job on capturing the ibis in flight too, just need to get one flying in sweeter light. ideally late arvo with a westerly wind blowing gives you the best options for flight shots like this

There's something about #3 that really appeals to me.

I agree with you P Plates, I think its the lovely silvery water and subtle reflections, along with the repetion of those beautiful stilts.
Some photos just have soul without necessarily having textbook perfect definition. Well that's my excuse anyway.

Good shots there Isac. Just out of curiosity what lens you using?

Thanks wigz. I see your point with the overlapping. The ibis was very kind and flew past very slowly.

Thanks Gordon. They are plentiful at the lake and it's good practice to get a few of the slower birds to hone the skills a bit.

I did get a few of the stilts but they always had their mates close by. maybe next time. It's not always possible to get there at the perfect time for lighting but I do try. Thanks Stephen.

Thanks P Plates. It's because they all have only one leg! Haha

Thank you again Jo. I do appreciate it. I'm going to go through more I took at a later date and see if there are any keepers to post.
