  • Red-browed Finch

    Neochmia temporalis, Wamboin yesterday. A few of these little guys have turned up in the last week. I still haven't managed to get a decent shot, so this will have to do for the time being.

      Well done nailing one of these Alan. I see flocks of these birds up here, they ground feed on grass seeds and are very difficult to approach.

          Now that is called pre-planning your shot. I see heaps of these at the wetlands and agree they are very flighty and hard to get a pic. Very sharp.

            I'd be thrilled with your "this will have to do" shot. Finches are very fast little things so great shot. Such a pretty little bird too.
