Looks like you have chosen a good image Isac and the end result looks great. The edges of the branches and bird look a little jagged and could do with some smoothing but that might be something to do with the uploading and is a minor nitpic at best. It seems to have the same problem that I see when viewing an image in photoshop at say 33% instead of 25% or 50%, a bit fuzzy around the edges.
Far be it from me to get into the techo stuff.
That aside I'd say this is wall hanger worthy. Lovely soft pastel colours and a wonderful composition.-----------------------------------------------------

Thanks Mick. I did notice the jagged edges but I just let the converter in ACDC do it's thing. Maybe not the best converter but I think it's better than CS6. I really try to make composition a priority. Thanks for looking and your comments - appreciated.I Shoot A Canon

Also I shoot with intent to frame. With this image framed and hanging on a wall the jagged edges would simply not be an issue.
But that wont stop me nitpicking from time to time.-----------------------------------------------------

I like your CC, NP and BS Mick. Only kidding on the BS. Maybe you or another member could start a new thread called "What's your Secret for a great photo" or something similar. Members could offer there techniques and what they actually look for and think about BEFORE they press the button. It's OK to say it's about the light or framing or composition, but those and other terms and what they actually mean to different members could really be helpful. Any thoughts?Last edited by Isac; 04-01-2013, 11:36 AM.I Shoot A Canon

There's a lot I like about your image.
The Pink and Grey looks like it's taken it's pose straight off Model Mayhem.
The colours are beautifully interwoven throughout too.
You even have a cheeky gleam remaining in its eye.

I love to get your candid and sometimes droll assessment of my works. It stimulates the senses. The cocky was with it's mate and they were sort of guarding their territory - looking all around and eying me off, hence the poses which were marvelous. I took heaps of both the birds but this one was a lovely "Is this OK?" type look. Glad you liked it.I Shoot A Canon

not sure I like the branch lower right. competes for attention with the main subject imho
could lead the eye away from the main subject if you put in on the wall.
perhaps that could have been cloned over with some leaves and left the galah as the star of the show?Stephen Davey. Nikon Shooter
