    Thanks Stephen. I arrived at this sandbar in pre-dawn light, hid as best I could under a tiny sapling all of a metre tall (lol) and waited to see who/what would turn up. I was surprised and thrilled to find myself surrounded by a large flock of budgies.

    A major first for me. Never see budgies around here, must be little water elsewhere. Great first day back into birding woo hoo!
