  • Depressed Little Corella

    I think I have psted this previously but have switched back to flckr from photobucket (which seems to be giving me grief lately). Wanted to check the share function.

          I think his main problem was that there was a big cocky on the feeder and he was waiting his turn. The corellas are regular vistors to my garden now - they are not native to Canberra but there are two flocks which have bred up from escaped caged ones (naughty). One flock has found out I am an easy touch for quality seed.

            I like the photo even though the poor little fella looks unhappy. The separation of the background from the Corella is very good.

            We have flocks of hundreds of corellas here. They would have to be the noisiest of all birds. We can't hear ourselves talking when they are milling over head. I like them, but they do destroy all the buds on the paulownia trees, so the paulownias don't get a chance to flower very often.
