I like the first image; everyone, and the birds waiting for something to happen

Just fiddling with LR 4 to see whats what. The posted image looks blueish and slightly flatter compared to the image on LR

Rework edits are usually done in a minute or soon a laptop in a room with variable lighting and will not be perfect and mustbe seen and read as a editing/photography guide only.

All comments must be taken as just my personal thoughts and how I read theimage. I was not there when the photo was taken and I can only guess thecolours, conditions and the reason the photo was taken in the first place

Thnx Ian, it was only a mobile phone pic so I wasn't particular with it.

Here is the first of my photos with the 50D. Not fussed with frame. Keep in mind it was a cloudy day so it's not a white background although I did alter the white slider in LR.

these mobile phone photos are becoming a worry. Amazing quality really. Still good to fiddle with in LR

Now I like that photo; even with the white sky

It's nice to see the immediate 'flavour' from the mobile photos, like on the spot, etc. It feels as if you are there enjoying the scene as well. Your pelican on the light pole looks terrific, I don't think I have seen one flapping wings in that position before so I enjoyed seeing that and I had a good giggle at the errr "fish kidneys" . Ian's editing and cropping makes it look an interesting and busy scene with lots to look at.

@ #10, did you ask them to dance for you? This one cracks me up.
#5 is clever too, if I didn't know better I would say you photoshopped one of them, they are almost in identical positions.
Great set of natural photos, they certainly can pose well those pelicans.
