Hey guys, i don't have a photo to add but were looking on flickr at some recent uploads in my news feed and a chap called Bill Varney has some most excellent photos of birds. Quality is amazing so I checked the exif info and seems he's using a $15,000 lens 600mm f4. No wonder eh.

Sorry Alan I have posted this one twice, I thought i had posted yesterday, couldn't find it on the first page and posted it again this morning.
The effects of a good nights sleep my brain was still sleeping.

Back to the 3 Ps - Pelicans, Poodles and Peacocks.

This is an immature male. He hasn't got his colorful tail yet. The bigger boys have half grown their tales, ready for spring. (I don't know what's happened to mine.)

          Charles

My indecision is final, I think.

I can see why you love your peacocks Charles.

Here we have the cormorants lined up in full uniform on a jetty (crowded with terns, hence the blurry heads at the bottom) being drilled by a silver gull.

Black shoulderd Kite - Moruya today. Shame about the grey sky . It's been blue for 3 weeks straight - so it goes.
