Out of interest Tania - did you play with the exposure on this before cropping - we (and a few others) have found that, with the 7d at least, it is actually better to overexpose as underexposure and trying to recover details = noise big time (see also Snix's comments at the bottom of - http://www.ausph.com/showthread.php/...e-compensation re Expose To The Right) As always in this game, there seem to be as many arguments for/against both sides

I did have a quick read over that thread but I will have to go back and re-read it again. I didn't play very much with the exposure, a very slight adjustment in the levels, but I was working with a JPEG file (I normally shoot raw & JPEG) so I don't know how much in-camera processing might have affected it.

How beautiful! Love the colours, sounds like you were lucky to get this, well done.
