Good to see you have got the lens sorted Lloyd. Some great images here though still with a slight blue cast on a couple.

The Lorikeet is a beauty and the last Heron one is very nice indeed.

      Well done.
She actually really liked how you have got it with the feathers falling down on it body.
This bird looks so elegant so I think they should rename it the Elegant Heron
I agree with that Riddick, Elegant Heron would be a gret name because they are so regal when they walk

Thanks Mick. This blue caste thing is starting to give me the irrits. The WB is set for daylight but it keeps showing up in lots of shots. The only way I seem to get around it is go cloudy, then they turn warm. I will have to do some practice shots with custom WB and use my own setting I think. This camera and lens is really pushing me to learn and do things I have absolutely no idea about. I guess at the end of the day it will make me a better photographer though.

I don't know if this is good advice or not Lloyd but I leave the WB on auto. Occasionally the camera still gets it wrong but I fix it by using the eye droppers in a curves layer.

As you say though, it's pushing you to learn stuff and that's always good.

Hmm, I have never even thought of using auto WB Mick, I will give it a try thanks.
