Certainly different Hans. Maybe the original so we can compare, and also add your workflow for others to try it too. I like this effect. Well done.
PS: did you have your color picker set with red and white when you did the charcoal filter?Last edited by Isac; 31-03-2020, 05:40 PM.I Shoot A Canon

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

The original tourist shot.
In the charcoal rendering I didn't pick the colour. Wasn't even aware I could. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers Hans. I love the photo. It's an ancient looking place. People who leave rubbish behind are the worst people on the planet. I see it every day at our lake and parks and can't work out why they have to do it. We all pay rates and the local authorities place plenty of bins around. I even see crap thrown on the ground next to the bins. Those scum bags are lucky I'm not in charge!

You should see it in South America. They drop their stuff next to the bin one step away. Very few wash their hands in the toilet. We visited Japan after being there and it was a different planet.I walked around for hours with a piece of rubbish didn't find out where they hide their bins. No rubbish around though. Very civilised.

There's one good reason that places are so clean - laws that punish you for being an idiot.
Here's why you found less bins in Japan

and why Singapore is so clean.

Years ago at a Ulysses AGM in Albany I was talking to the Mayor during the speeches and he said how well the crowd was appreciated by the locals as there had been no problems whatever. They had organised extra police 4000 bikers they thought may create problems but not our lot, most of whom were in bed by 11pm. I said to him that he should have a close look at the grounds when we all leave I would be very surprised if he would see any rubbish. And it was true. I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been cleaner after we were there than before.
