  • Tree almost looks like an I.R. image

    G'day all

    1) Backlit tree soon after sunrise - mono treatment almost makes it look as though InfraRed film has been used

    2) Sunlight sparkling on grass dew and through leaves of nearby trees

    3) Not meant to be visually exciting ... the sand erosion from last week's heavy seas. About 1m to 1,2m of sand lost x well over 1/2- kilometre of beachfront

    As always - feedback welcome

Tree seems to glow. Nice to be different
Shame about the beach but I suppose different circumstances will see sand deposited.

You're right about the IR in #1 Phil. I agree with Hans - I love something different. I can sense the dew on the grass in #2. Shame about the loss of sand in #3. It can be blamed on climate change I guess, which is strange, because climate change has been happening since the year dot and we've only recently been told about it!

I suppose we sometimes confuse climate change with human planetary destruction.

Thanks fellas re: #1 & #2 .... yes I also enjoyed the feel of those 2 pics

As to the beach - we've seen it before from heavy storms, and -yes- the sand comes and goes every year or two. In this case I do not think it has anything to do with our changing climate ... but in other places, satellite pics can show significant changes to the areas. After all, "they" tell us that only 110,000 years ago, Tassie was joined to Gippsland and people could / did just walk across. Imagine not needing that rattly old noisy boat. Now there's something to look fwd to
