  • Would you believe me.........

if I told you I was going for an ICM shot?

    Neither would I.
The truth is I set the aperture to f11 and forgot to up the ISO, resulting in a shutter speed of 1/30 sec., way too slow for motorsports. To make things even worse I forgot to press the BB focus button.

The sad thing is I wasn't trying for ICM. If I had pressed the BBF button and was a tad better with my panning this would have been a cracker shot.

Got to agree John. Holding the BBF will keep refocusing on the target and removing your thumb will lock focus at that time.

      G'day GJ

Just catching up with this one ~ it looks similar to many of mine when I am still swigging the 1/2-drunk bottle of red for brekky the next day
seriously tho ... I sometimes try for this type of result with moving subjects - whack on the ND100 and drop s/speed down to low fractions - and the results often come out 'beauty mate'
