This was created in Photoshop from the photo of a flower, no water was involved, so timing wasn't a factor.

Well done then; can you get the ripples across more the flower
But I'm not gong to cheat with PS; I will do it in the camera the proper way. yeah yeah I have lost my brain now.

The Redfield Ripple plugin will allow you to put ripples where you like and is adjustable in all facets. If I recall it is Free which makes it even better.
