I actually found a link to this technique on Brad's Nikon Forum last night, (thanks for the clarifying PM btw)
I could let you try to work it out - but for those with no patience click HERE
Like a lot of these techniques I think a lot depends on choosing the right image to work on. I just picked a couple quickly at random. One can do all sorts of other things to the image on the way through of course. The posted technique is just the start.
Have fun - it's a bit addictive so there may be a few more to come.
If you want another 'Challenge' you could try to work out which of my recent images were used (that shouldn't be hard)

This is fascinating stuff Alan. It can be used for background blending for landscapes as well. Just used some tree brushes on this one.

My social life is suffering because of this addictive stuff. So I have introduced the original TWIRL, which could easily become another addiction
