  • Fun Stuff with Actions.

I've written a few actions for Photoshop which I hope you will download and play with. Feedback would be great (with images if possible) so I can see if I'm on the right track. If any members want an action written (within reason), Let me know what you need and I'll be more than happy to oblige.

The Actions are in "Isac Images FUN STUFF.zip" and include the following:

    1: Isac Images - Sully's Polar ORB: Polar / Flip / Rectangular
2: Isac Images - Glass Orb (New File)
3: Isac Images - 3D Ball with Reflection
    4: Isac Images - Duo-Tone
5: Isac Images - Painted Fine Detail
6: Isac Images - Quick Sketch
7: Isac Images - Sketch Realistic

I used some of them on the original image of a 1954 FJ Holden. I even combined some for different effects, like the "Quick Sketch" and "Painted Fine Detail"

Beautiful work. I especially like the last two examples.

Nice car too! A real collectors item.

My indecision is final, I think.

Thanks Charles. I see the 54 FJ for up around 30K for fully restored.

    Thanks for sharing Isac

With regards to the sketch images ..... "Photocopy" also produces a reasonable sketch image .... shall post shortly, if i can get photobucket to work properly

Looking forward to it Barb. I've played with it but haven't had a great deal of success.
PS I had another look at your "Caution" post but your photo has gone AWOL.

This is the photocopy method I use. Use colour image OR Desaturate it for B&W.

    1. Duplicate Image.
    2. Filter > Sketch > Photocopy (Detail=6, Darkness=8)
    3. Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen More (3 times) | Layer Mode to Overlay.

Pretty basic but it works OK for some images.

an example of photocopy filter used ... could use a black mask and repaint the colour on using a watercolour brush ...

      eg:

      1. duplicate image twice > disable top image
      2. 1st copy apply photocopy filter
      3. Enable second copy > apply black mask (hold Alt while selecting mask) > (this will turn image back to the photocopy image)
      4. Select suitable brush and opacity and brush colour back in
