Well done "SC" Barb. It really puts the focus square on the fungi. It seems that red is the major colour when doing this type of edit. I also like the little tinge of colour in the foreground/background.I Shoot A Canon

That is a sad joke Greg!! . At least I got it.
Wonderful capture Barb,
Love the selective red and the slight tinge left over in the rest of the image.
If you could clone out the 2 strands of grass rising into the mushroom, and tone down the brightness on the stick it may improve the image.D7100, SB700. PS CS5, LR 4.4 - Flickr

Beautiful shot Barb. The selective color works here. The OOF background, the composition all come together.
Nice light too. Did you use a flash? I think you did? If so, you did well, cause using a flash in macro work can often look harsh if not handled skillfully.
I agree with Scott regarding the cloning.Charles
My indecision is final, I think.

Nice work Barb. I think the selective colour works well.
I don't mind the bright stick.
I think cropping some off the left would balance it better. (All personal choices )
The FZ200 does an amazing job - not to mention your processing
(Exif doesn't indicate the Flash fired Charles?)

I like this Barb, the colourful little fellow really stands out. If you ever get around to it, I would like to see the comparison between this as is, and with the grass taken out, although I feel they add to the authenticity of the location and scene.
