  • Storm clouds and rain.

Had a good storm roll through and I grabbed these two images.

I liked the little wave in the lower left.

#1 - very effective. #2 - Brilliant! How does the coloured version look? (no pressure).

      Cheers Isac.

I rarely do a colour version of a b&w Isac but I suppose one could look like this

      Terrible, if you ask me.

Some images need b&w to work imho

Colour definitely takes away some of the drama of the storm/rain but it adds heaps to the location in my opinion. Feels more like you are actually there if that makes sense.

Your comment makes a lot of sense Todd.

The colour version shifts attention to the ground when what I was trying to capture was the sky.

          So thanks for that.

I agree B&W is best in this case

Impressive cloud structure in #1 and unusually for me, I prefer the b&w of #2 - that rain is just pouring down by the look of it.

The B&W definitely adds drama to the sky, I also like the colour shot, but the B&W wins for me.
                      Cheers, Brad.

Thanks Gabby and Ironwood. We copped about 70mm of much needed rain from the storm

That's good to hear Mick. Some areas to the west of us just received their first significant rain in 3 years, no doubt it was a welcome relief.
                          Cheers, Brad.
