That's a very unusual photo Mick. It would look great as a feature wall in a swank hotel room. My wife's name is Sandy and I sometimes call her "desert" - because she just goes on and on and on and on ......
P.S. Is that a colour or sepia image? Very clever anyway you look at it.

Cheers Isac. In photoshop CC there's a layer called colour lookup. I process the image in colour to my liking then convert to b&w and tweak then use the colour lookup to apply a tone.

Lots of excellent options, this one was candlelight with opacity reduced to about 30%.

I still miss Silver Effex but this is getting the job done nicely.

Triangles in composition are always attractive to my eye, well worth looking out for.

Thanks Mike. I do like my NIK stuff. I don't think I'll be going to CC at the moment. I'm used to CS6 and all its offerings, including the colour lookup, which is amazing. I found a couple of hotel rooms and your image looks good as feature walls - just hav'n fun

Whoa! I like what you've done there Isac, especially the wrap around in #2.

            Yowser - that's great.

I was going to post another idea for Mick, but you beat me to the square format.

              Love the composition Alan!

I'll go back and have a play with the original, it's already quite a large crop but I'll see what I can drag out of it.

Fancy motel room and the wall looks great with it in #2. Not my cup of tea otherwise but on a wall, it works for me and with the coordinating bed cover.
