Playing with Peacock Plumage

Placed a white peacock feather on pale paper and then played with it in PS.
Probably processed too much, but it passed a few hours...

The blue ones appeal to me most but interesting to see the different effects. The feather itself tends to get a bit lost in the first two.

Good subject matter for a play. I recon back lit against a dark background would work well.

Interesting exercise with a variety of results,
"Isn't PS a great time consumer on a boring day?"

Thanks everyone. I took the first one for the Subject 'Delicate', for another exercise, and then just kept playing - yes Gaz you were right
I did take a shot with a black b/g 4 years ago, but not sure if I ever posted it.

Black back ground is a keeper .... the others could be applicants for the 'distort' filter in PS ....
