  • Welding Glass

I really should just buy a decent ND filer instead of mucking around with cheap bits of welding glass/plastic. The processing is so time consuming. (2 minute exposure)

    My BD is coming up

Spent many years looking through these filters and melting perfectly good bits of steel together, but never thought of holding one in front of a camera!

    Here's ya B/Day present

Have heard you can use welding glass for this - my arms trying to hold it steady for 2 mins would probably give it a wavy effect.

Thanks for having a look. I used a rubber band to hold it front of the lens and another rubber band to hold down the shutter release button

Aaah, very inventive. I'd have to go and buy rubber bands. A friend did a landscape course with the Rankins in NZ and they apparently often use blue tack to hold filters in place.
