  • Long exposure

Still trying to get a mono long exposure. Unfortunately impossible to shoot looking upstream without wading in cold water so I shot these from the bridge.

P Plates, we all need to make sacrifices for our art. I don't think you should let a bit of cold water hold you back!

I'm all mouth. I would have shot from the bridge too, unless it was really cold, in which case I would have stayed home by the fire.

These are well composed and very effective B&W conversions.

Let me confess my bias: I'm not a big fan of long exposure water shots. To me, they all look the same, and I'm clueless as to why people are attracted to this technique. Please convince me!!

My indecision is final, I think.

Thanks for commenting Charles. First - we have "mono - long exposure" coming up for the camera club so I'm trying to get some shots for that. The water would have probably been fine for you southerners to wade in but too cold for we locals. There was a couple in a caravan on the banks and she was in a bikini and he was shirtless - we can pick you southerners.

Yes, we are a very hardy group, us southerners. We laugh at the cold!! Ha Ha!! And don't forget that Adelaide, where I am, is also the 'heatwave capital' of Australia, if not the world. (I'm not sure about the last point, but it sounds good!)
