          Thanks Greg.

Yes, I'm claiming bonus points for having about five different species in the one frame!

B & W works well with this, I'm guessing the birds were lost in the colour version?

What if there were no Hypothetical questions?

Not really Gaz, I'm just a huge fan of b&w for this style of image. No reason for that, just the way I roll.

But with this particular image the colours are quite dull and uninspiring. Grey sky, and the water on the road is a dull yucky nothing kind of colour as is the vegetation in background, so this was always going to be a b&w anyway.

Love them both Mick, b&w works a treat...... big 'puddles' (haven't seen any in a long while) .... maybe the end of this week we can see some more wet stuff

Actually the water, though shallow, is running quite hard and there are fish everywhere despite the fact this road is 35kms from the ocean. The massive floodplains have hooked up with the ocean and there are people out here fishing for salmon!

Took me ages to find somewhere I could pull off the road without sinking into the slush.

The birds are enjoying a feast and the road is the only dry patch to land on anyway lol. Seriously wet here at present Lloyd, and it's still raining hard with plenty more to come.

Great shot Mick. Love the splash and the birds to set off the truck. How long did you have to wait for a road train to come along?

Two hours! Thought one would never turn up. Just three cars and two road trains in two hours, pretty quiet out here during the wet.
