    :chin: Think I would lose the frame or at least make it block colour ..... as it's a bit distracting.

    Might be a candidate for 'oil painting' effect if you have it .... or go b&w in a heavy silhouette - there are some interesting shapes in the bark

      I quite like the bevelled edges. It tends to give a 3D effect for me.

      I don't have an oil painting option. This is done with a watercolour filter. It's more subtle and suits my style. I did have a look at in in B&W but the tawny colours of the bark appeal to me more.

        Can't say the frame has great appeal to me either, but we all have different tastes.

            Like the bark - shapes and colours in this and I prefer the more subtle frame in the first one.
