That actually looks appealing. Like those browny bits on the ears, my dog has those too and breaks up the dark colours. Yep it's thumbs up from me.

I finally arrived!
This one has come up really well, did you do extra fiddling with the hair on his ears? I'm liking this filter on this pic and every colour has come out really well, like Anna said!

The ears are his natural colour (chocolate). I made a B&W second layer on top and then revealed bits (eyes, ears, collar) of the coloured one underneath.
