Liking the first a lot... great perspective... I feel like a little seagull at that view... Not sure about the 2nd one though.

I prefer (and really like ) the second. The oof foreground in the first dominates the image to my eye and I find it distracting.

Hmmm...off to Landscape to have a look at the original.

These are very effective Alan. I like elements of both. I'm thinking more contrast to exaggerate the blacks for both images?
