  • Blue-faced Opera House Finch

    Taeniopygia utzonie. A rarely seen endangered species. It's classic curves allow it to live and breed under the uniquely shaped roof tiles - a beautiful example of adaptive evolution.

    Thousands of tourists/locals frequent the area, but because of it's camouflage, very few people catch a glimpse of this beautiful and rare species.

      I thought it was the lesser of the greater northern blue-billed corella! But I was mistaken......

        Like the curves, lines and textures and creativity in this.

        Perhaps if you'd fired the flash he may have lifted the crest.
